Our company was founded in 1991. Since then, we have successfully led the company from a sole proprietorship to a medium-sized enterprise with more than 110 employees. Since the beginning of our activities on the market, we have been pursuing our consistent company philosophy of being a competent contact partner for our customers at all times in dealing with their extensive work tasks.
As a matter of principle, we rely on a long-term cooperation with our customers based on partnership. We do not see ourselves as a mere supplier, but rather as a partner who understands how to solve problems, so that our customers can fully concentrate on their core business. And our success proves us right. Over the past 23 years, we have not only been able to win customers from many key German industries with whom we have worked for many years, but we have also been able to offer our employees permanent jobs with a secure future.

Production profile
Lehmann GmbH currently employs 110 employees and 10 trainees. In addition, our company is a practice partner of the University of Cooperative Education Bautzen for 2 students within the scope of a dual study program.

The tools are manufactured on state-of-the-art grinding centers to achieve the highest product quality. Our own development and design department enables us to develop new tools, optimize existing tools and thus achieve significant machining advantages for our customers.
Our range of products includes the production of standard and special tools made of solid carbide and HSSE according to DIN and customer requirements as well as the execution with PCD, Cermet and HM - tipping. All tools can be supplied with or without internal coolant supply.

In this way, we secure decisive competitive advantages for our customers in optimized parts machining by reducing machining times or combining individual machining cycles through the use of multifunctional tools.
Modern CAD workstations allow us to design in two and three dimensions. Special software programs enable us to simulate individual machining steps in advance of production and to make statements about the manufacturing possibilities of special tools.

Service
Our company provides the customer with a regular pick-up and delivery service, which can also be taken over by partner companies nationwide. This ensures that every customer has a direct contact person who is able to solve minor problems on site or to record necessary technical information and forward it to our application engineers.
Innovation
Research and development play an important role in our company. Thus, we developed new tool concepts for technical innovations in machining. In order to maintain a technological lead, we are constantly developing new machining concepts.simulationWe make use of the good cooperation with various research centers and universities, such as the TU in Dresden, the Fraunhofer Institute, the AIF, as well as the BTI Technology Agency Dresden.
The last two research projects included the development of new tooling strategies for the machining of new composite materials, which will be indispensable in the future of materials technology. We regularly exhibit all these innovations at trade fairs such as the Intec in Leipzig, the EMO in Hanover, the AMB in Stuttgart, the METAV in Düsseldorf and the EuroMold in Frankfurt, to name but a few.

Our company has been able to establish itself successfully on the German and international market over the past 23 years. The number of employees has increased steadily over these years.This requires that we have a technically well-trained and motivated staff.Internal training measures, both by our own managers, as well as by training personnel from mechanical engineering companies ensure a high level of personal know-how of our employees at all times.
In order to be able to meet the requirements of the international market, training measures for English are offered.To ensure our well-trained staff in the long term, we have been training our apprentices ourselves for many years. Our apprentices can count on a secure employment after successfully passing their apprenticeship. Every year, 2 or 3 trainees start their apprenticeship with us.
We secure our future executives through the practical training of students from the State Academy of Studies in Bautzen. With us, everyone has a chance! Even career changers who want to change within the framework of their professional development have already been able to convince us that with the appropriate personal commitment and coupled with our training, there is the possibility of securing a permanent and future-proof job in our company.
Due to our high level of technology, there is unfortunately no possibility to employ people with disabilities. Therefore, we have been maintaining an intensive cooperation with the Lebenshilfezentrum für Behinderte in Bautzen for many years.As we are aware of our social responsibility, we regularly award contracts to this institution, which, for example, manufactures pallets for tool transport or regularly maintains and repairs our outdoor facilities for us.
